Project Description: Hotel Indigo, Durham
Formerly the home of Durham County Council the 120-year-old building had been transformed into a four-star, 83-bedroom Hotel Indigo, featuring an 88-cover Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar and Grill and Tinderbox Espresso Emporium.
One of the primary challenges for the construction team was retaining and enriching the richly-ornate interior consequently they needed me to record progress on a regular basis as they unearthed, retained and renovated interesting features. Once work was complete I documented the fully refurbished spaces showing the retained architectural features next to the modern interior design.
We first met and worked with Andrew in 2008, he took images of our first completed projects and has continued to do so on everything else we’ve done to date. He understands what we want to see, how we will use it and knows how to capture it. His work is of the highest standard and always receives positive feedback from not just ourselves, but also our clients.”Richard Wood, Director, Brims Construction Limited
